Data Wipe-Off Technique for Tracking Weak GPS Signals

In this paper, the data wipe-off (DWO) algorithm is incorporated into vector tracking loop of Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver for improving signal performance. The navigation data, which contains information that necessary to perform computations, are binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) modulated onto GPS carrier phase with bit duration 20 ms (i.e., 50 bits per second). To continuously track satellite’s in weak environment, DWO on basis pre-detection method adopted detect sign reversal every ms. Tracking accuracy a decreased by possible predetection integration time (PIT) or interval. achieve better performance coherent interval can be extended. However, increase lead decrease When correlator extended over low C/No levels, employed avoid energy loss due transitions. presented paper has an advantage estimate and improved Evaluation based various intervals will presented.
